ALWAYSE Engineering was formed in 1939 and is today, the global market-leading manufacturer of Ball Transfer Units.

The original inventor and pioneer of the Ball Transfer Unit as a reliable material handling solution, ALWAYSE currently employs around 50 people (including two full-time apprentices) at its purpose-built research, design and manufacturing facility based in Birmingham, in the heart of the UK.

More than 70% of its production is exported to over 60 countries worldwide, which led to Alwayse Engineering being awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade on two occasions.

ALWAYSE Ball Units, Rollers and Castors are used in all major material handling and logistics industries by many of the world's biggest brands - with more than 2 million units manufactured, individually hand-tested and sold every year. Alwayse Engineering Limited is proud to be quality registered to ISO 9001 and is also a member of the 'Made in the Midlands' network of companies supporting and promoting British Manufacturing.
