The innovative family business was founded in 1983 by Dieter Baur in Tettnang on Lake Constance in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Under the leadership of his sons, Fabian and Rafael Baur, wenglor sensoric group has grown into a global player in the fields of sensors and machine vision and has become an indispensable part of the world of automation.

The industry of the future is becoming increasingly smarter with our innovative sensor solutions. Split into twelve product categories, our sensors work according to almost 200 different functional principles, thus making the industrial landscape safe and efficient today. With the ever-increasing use of learning robots, our products must be able to make decisions themselves and communicate within the process. They are the sensory organs of automation for Industry 4.0 – and thus the most important components for smart machines.

Today, the wenglor sensoric group employs around 1,000 people and distributes its sensor, image processing and software products worldwide at 49 locations in 42 countries. wenglor develops and produces its industrial hardware and software solutions at a total of five locations in Europe.
