Piergiacomi Sud for more than 40 years, with its “Piergiacomi Quality Handtools” line, is a leading company in the production of hand tools, in blanking, for electronics and, in part, for electrical engineering.

Piergiacomi Sud was founded in 1979 as one of the world’s first manufacturers of specific hand tools for the electronics industry. Before that, with the advent of electronics, forged tools began to be imported from Scandinavia, Germany and Switzerland, but these tools were too heavy and not suitable for more delicate processes. For this reason, in 1979, the founders Enrico Carini and his brother Ermanno, who were already involved in running the family business established by their grandfather Ubaldo Piergiacomi back in 1923, decided to build lighter, smaller and less expensive tools, specifically conceived and designed for the work involved in electronics. In an attempt to counter competitors from Asia with their low labour costs, over the years the company Piergiacomi Sud has decided to invest heavily in process automation. Thanks to a team of first-rate engineers and technicians, Piergiacomi Sud has been able to increasingly automate its production processes, achieving production that is excellent value for money and still Italian. In addition, thanks to the knowhow in process automation developed and carried out in-house, for about 20 years Piergiacomi Sud has also been possible to create a line of impulse welding machines for multilayer circuits and a line of patented depanelization products, sold and installed all over the world.
